How do I create a short link?
Sign in to your 49R account
Go to your Dashboard
Paste your long URL in the "Create New Link" form
Optionally add a title, expiration, or password
Click "Create Short Link" and you're done!
Is 49R free to use?
Yes! 49R offers a free plan that includes up to 50 links, QR code generation, and basic analytics. For more advanced features and higher limits, you can earn coins by watching ads and upgrade to Premium for free.
2. Links & QR Codes
Can I set an expiration date for my links?
Yes! When creating a link, you can choose from several expiration options: 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or never expire. Once a link expires, it will no longer redirect visitors.
How do I password-protect a link?
When creating a new link, fill in the "Password Protection" field. Anyone who tries to access that short link will need to enter the correct password before being redirected.
How do I generate a QR code?
After creating a short link, click the QR code icon (grid icon) next to any link in your dashboard. A QR code will be generated that you can download and share anywhere — on print materials, business cards, or digital content.
Can I customize my short link code?
Yes! When creating a link, you can optionally specify a custom short code. If you leave it blank, a random code will be generated automatically.
Go to your Dashboard and click the chart icon (Analytics) next to any link. You'll see a detailed breakdown of clicks, devices, browsers, and countries for that specific link.
Are analytics updated in real-time?
Yes! Click data is tracked and recorded instantly. When someone clicks your link, the analytics are updated immediately and you can see the latest stats on your dashboard.
4. Account & Security
How do I change my password?
Go to My Profile and scroll down to the "Change Password" section. Enter your current password and your new password to update it.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings and scroll to the "Danger Zone" section. Enter your email to confirm and click "Delete Account". Please note this action is irreversible.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Click "Forgot Password?" on the Login page and enter your email address. You'll receive instructions on how to reset your password.
Is my data secure on 49R?
Absolutely! We use bcrypt password hashing, CSRF protection on all forms, HttpOnly secure session cookies, and input sanitization to prevent XSS and SQL injection attacks. See our Privacy Policy for details.
5. Earn & Premium
How do I earn coins?
Go to the Earn page. You can earn coins by watching short video ads from various platforms. Each ad view rewards you with coins that accumulate in your wallet.
What can I do with coins?
Coins can be used to upgrade to Premium membership (500 coins for 30 days). Premium unlocks higher link limits, advanced analytics, and other features. Visit your Wallet to check your balance and redeem.
Can I buy coins with real money?
No, coins can only be earned by watching ads. They have no monetary value and are non-transferable between accounts. This keeps our platform free and fair for everyone.
6. Troubleshooting
My short link isn't working. What should I do?
Check the following: (1) The link hasn't expired, (2) The original URL is still valid, (3) You're using the correct short code. If the issue persists, contact support.
I can't see my analytics data. Why?
Analytics data appears once your link receives at least one click. If you just created the link, try clicking it yourself and then refresh the analytics page. Allow a few seconds for the data to update.
Ads aren't loading on the Earn page. What should I do?
Make sure you have disabled ad blockers for 49R. Ad blockers prevent the ad platforms from loading, which means you can't earn coins. Try refreshing the page or using a different browser.
